چکیده

Background: Weeds are primary factors that adversely affect growth, yield and seed quality of summer green gram, which can be minimized with adoption proper weed management practices. This field experiment was conducted to find out the effective practice in gram (Vigna radiata) under zero tillage condition. Methods: In this field-laboratory investigation during season 2019 on different herbicides were applied manage weeds gram. Eight treatments based various application windows. laboratory, collected samples determined for growth parameters, nutrient uptakes, Result: The result revealed free treatment recorded higher parameters like, plant height, number branch/plant, leaves/plant root biomass statically at par Shaked (Propaquizafop + Imezathyper) as post-emergence (POE) 20 DAS Pendimethalin pre-emergence (PE) followed by one hand weeding DAS. Same trends also observed yield, content uptake seeds. Seed like germination per cent (98.00), shoot (25.63 cm) (14.20 seedling length (39.83 cm), dry weight (0.16 g), vigour index I (3903.33) II (14.96) (PE over check.

Conservation Tillage and Weed Management

Tillage has long been an essential component of traditional agricultural systems. Broadly defined, tillage is the mechanical manipulation of the soil and plant residues to prepare a seedbed for crop planting. The benefits of tillage are many: it loosens soil, enhances the release of nutrients from the soil for crop growth, kills weeds, and regulates the circulation of water and air within the s...
